Davis Consulting California is proud to announce that our project at UCSD Medical Center Central Plant has achieved LEED Gold. This achievement has put UCSD in a very small class of hospitals that has achieved LEED Gold. At present only 8 other facilities worldwide have achieved this level of sustainability in the health care market, this the only in California. In addition to the installation of efficient boilers and chillers, the plant utilizes whisper quiet cooling towers – some of the quietest on the market. Having been built with the environment in mind, the plant operates below 65 dB at the exterior of the plant yard, making it the quietest mechanical yard we have seen to date.
Congratulations to the UCSD Central Plant Team!
